Quiz

Let's start with a quiz:
1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the countries that won World Cup for the past 20 years.
3. Name the top five female tennis player.
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel prize.
5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.

How did you do?
The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday.
These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields.
But the applause dies.
Awards tarnish.
Achievements are forgotten.
Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.

Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:
1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.
2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.
4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.

Easier?
The lesson: The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials... the most money... or the most awards. They are simply the ones that care the most.

Valentine's Day

All I am, all I'll be
Everything in this world
All that I'll ever need
Is in your eyes
Shining at me
When you smile I can feel
All my passion unfolding
Your hand brushes mine
And a thousand sensations
Seduce me 'cause I

I do cherish you
For the rest of my life
You don't have to think twice
I will love you still
From the depths of my soul
It's beyond my control
I've waited so long to say this to you
If you're asking do I love you this much
I do

In my world, before you
I lived outside my emotions
Didn't know where I was going
'Till that day I found you
How you opened my life
To a new paradise
In a world torn by change
Still with all my heart
'Till my dying day

That's the lyric from 98 degree's song titled 'I Do Cherish You'. Anyway, please do really cherish the people you love; your family, your buddies, your boyfriend, girlfriend, your husband, wife, and everyone around us. Because you do not know what you have until you lose it.

So, Happy Valentine's Day to everyone =)

Railways

A group of kids were playing nearby two railways. First railway is active where a train normally passes by, while sedond railway is no longer active. There is a kid playing at the inactive railway, while the rest are at the active railway.
Suddenly there is a train approaching in a high speed, and you are at the train control station and in charge of controlling the direction of the train. Will you shift the train to the inactive railway and save a group of kids playing at the active railway, but this means you are sacrificing the life of a kid that was plauing at the inactive railway.Or you will keep the train at the right railway where the train suppose to be at?
Let's take a time and think what kind of decision shall we take.
Most people will choose to shift the train direction and only sacrifice a life of one person.May be you have the same choice because by saving the life of many kids and lost a life of one kid is a rational decision and it's allowed morally and emotionally.
But do you realize that the kid that choose to play at the inactive railway, is making right decision because he choose to play at the safe place.Beside that, he must be sacrificed because of the carelessness of the other kids that were playing at the dangerous place.
This dilemma happened around us almost everyday. In the Office, society, politics and especially in democratics environment, minority has to be sacrificed for the need of majority.A kid's life that choose not to play with his friends at the dangerous railway has been ignored.and may be we might not regret that this incident happened.
Someone said he will not change the direction of the train because he believes that the group of kids that were playing at the active railway know very well that the railway is still active. So they will run once they heard the sound of approaching train. If the direction was shifted to inactive railway, the kid that were playing at inactive railway will surely die because he never thought of a train will pass by that railway.Beside that, the reason a lane was being deactivated was probably the lane was already unsafe. If the direction of the train was changed to the inactive railway, we have put the lives of all the passengers in danger. And may be the step to save a group of kids and sacrifice a kid, will end up sacrificing hundreds of lives in the train.
We have to know that life is full of difficult choices and decisions to made. And may be we might not realize that a quick decision may not always be the right decision.
